1. How do you determine and control the recording area of your screen capture?
To begin, use the sun icon located on your desktop. As you roll your mouse over, you will see three options. Choose the Capture option and it will show you an icon that you place in the corner of the screen you would like to demonstrate in the video. As you drag that out, the screen gets larger and when you release your mouse click it will determine the total size of your screen capture. A pop up menu will appear and you can choose video to begin recording.
2. What are the options for saving a screen capture?
You may save this screen capture to your computer if preferred, or you can directly upload it to your screencapture login.
3. Where is the screencapture on your computer and how do you retrieve it?
After saving it, it will be saved to the location you chose. For example, if you chose to save it to your desktop, it will be there. If you choose to upload it to the screencapture website, it will be public and accessible to you after login and to the public.
4. How do you push it to the internet and to others?
You may choose to upload it to the screencapture website, or you may share this video. If you choose to share it, you may upload it to your social media or you may email it to your contacts.
5. What filetype is a Jing screencapture video?
Jing saves it as an SWF, called a Shockwave Flash File.
6. The Jing sun has three prongs. What do the three prongs do?
You can choose one of the three prong options: Capture, History, or More. Capture gives you the tool to select your screen size that you want to save or upload, History shows you the previous screen captures, and "more" will bring you to a separate screen allowing you to exit Jing, change your preferences and ect.
